XRAY T1 Mini

Who's got one? I just got one and need a gearing chart.... plz help if u can. WHats ur setups, hopups, etc?

UnderDaHill 02-07-2005 12:31 PM

I have one... I am in the build process now. I plan to run it on Wednesday for the first time with an 8x1 v2 motor and 4-cells with TakeOff CS-27 rubber tires at our carpet track.

There are some setup suggestions on the xray forum but not a lot.

I think rubber tires on carpet with the basic setup has a traction-roll (grip roll) issue. I think the kit setup is more for asphalt racing. At the very least I think you will want to use some heavier oil in the shocks if you are going to run it on carpet.

Same internal ratio as the regular xray T1r.........good luck with it.....mine, and the other handfull of guys that started a class for them at our local track couldn't get them to handle very well (on asfault) no matter what we did with them (mabe their better on carpet)....they roll so easy...it's like they diddn't do any real engineering with making a 1/12 scale touring car, they just chopped some inches off of it......

same as the T1R with the low ratio pullys I mean

I'll try to post back here Thursday morning and let you know how it runs for me on carpet. I'll be trying it for the first time Wednesday night.

haha ur a reliable source lol
well its either 2.125 or 1.77 count dem pulley teeth i guess

UnderDaHill 02-07-2005 03:08 PM

It is 2.125 consisting of a 34 tooth diff pulley part number 305050 and a 15 tooth fixed pulley part number 305570.

Hope that helps :)

I was just wondering if anyone knows if the old protoform Audi TT mini body fits the T1M?
I know HPI makes a few bodies that fit but the protoform Audi looks the goods.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a link of the HPI bodies, I would like to see what they offer. I run the Xray bodies on mine.

I believe the wheelbase is 15mm longer but I've seen pics of the Honda Civic adapted to fit. However, I've never tried any myself.
