Default Why do bodies have no side mirrors?

I just noticed now looking at pics of bodies for rc cars and they have no side mirrors. They do a good job at creating the mold and decals but why cant they just add the mirrors. Im guessing its cause they think itll snap during contact but for non racers who just want a joy ride out of it and want realism itll be neat to have.

You have probably only seen the race bodies, such as protoform, blitz etc...
Quite a few bodies that are modelled from real cars have plastic mirrors included. I have a Nissan GTR body that I used to use for drifting and it had mirrors, along with all my hpi bodies.
So yes they do have mirrors lol! Just not the full blown aerodynamic race ones

Because unless your drifting the mirrors will last 30 secs before they get knocked off with contact or a roll.

I run mirrors on my Tamiya bodies and they stay on pretty well - even when people deliberately try and side-swipe me!

You can fit mirrors to any body, HPI do generic body accessories (mostly aimed at the drift market), I think Tamiya do them as well and maybe a few others.

I always run mirrors when I think about it...and driver figure...and the only time they come off, is when I switch bodies
