I just wish they would make a tool to make the brush/spring removal easier. Then I would switch to this motor over the C2 or standard Dyansty

Have one, tried for three weeks, kept getting killed by the Reedy 19T. I put harder springs on it and geard it to the moon and it was still slow. I bought a Reedy and I am much faster. I will keep working with it, but I'm not too impressed yet.

What springs and brushes did you use?
How long did you break-in the new brushes?

You must have done something wrong because thats the fastest 19t out!

sprint brushes hard spring on the pos and med on the neg.

gear it @ 5.60 fd.

let the brushes break in @ 1 vlt for min 10 minutes.

Joe if I am wrong please correct me!

I use Xtra Hard brush-springs and Edge Enduro brushes. This combination is awesome, but i will try out different spring/brush combos soon. My car is faster than most, even with crappy batteries.

I picked one up at Ultimate Hobbies in Orange Ca. OUT of the package in order to get it even close to a reedy I had to gear it @ 5.4 But I have not messed with it yet with diferant springs and brushesIt may improve????

telling you had to gear up to x final drive is only good if we know what car and from what you had to gear up from.

This would be the only way we could see what we would have to gear up from our regular 19s on the tracks we run.

Bro! if I say a final of 5.40 for example. It doesnt matter what car. You take and do this equation ( spur Divided by pinion and) multiply by your own cars internal gear ratio will = give you Final drive.

OK!

I have been running at certain tracks a 5.20 FD. Mind you that is outdoors with rubber tires with a 130 ft straight away and a slightly technical track. Start off with a 5.60 and gear as needed. You have to gear it the same as a reedy 19t. They like to be geared to the moon. Motor has more mid range punch and higher top end then the reedy.

So this seems to be the new hot ticket, Is there anything you can do to tune out every last bit of power in a V2?

Dude I am not trying to be a jerk! Do what I do, try different things. Every motor reacts different. Start with the tuning aids we've mention in previous posts.
