3 Racing new f1 F113
#196

Hi mate.
Worth trying a few or all of the following:
(1) If your transmitter has exponential, turn that down also
(2) try a harder front tyre
(3) loosen the ball diff a little
(4) use some traction compound on the rear tyres
(5) add some weight to the chassis, as low down near the rear axle as possible
The F1's are temperamental beasts until you get them in the ball park setup wise, then you wont be able to wipe the grin off your face!
Good luck
Cheers,
Steve

Hi to all,
I have an f113, it has massive Oversteer. i have reduced the steering travel on my transmitter, but that has no effect on it. It's the stock set up from the manual, im running shimizu tyres. PS-0573 front medium compound and PS-0579 soft compound on the rear.
Any help/tips would be great.
Cheers

The 3Racing spurs are perfectly fine. The holes are there for use in ball diffs, just because it doesn't have 16 holes doesn't mean it can't be used. The standard Tamiya spurs only use 6 balls and I never use more than 8 balls even if the spur gear has space for more. Too many diff balls can lead to diff problems as the friction load is spread over more surfaces making it harder to stop slipping when you try to set a free moving diff.
I would also always use 48dp gears especially in an F1. An accident can cause the motor to move slightly, usually just enough to strip 64dp gears while a 48dp gear will just get a little noisier.

Just a quicky .... don't want to derail this new thread.
The Fireball Classic, held at Lincoln/ Nebraska, is going to include F1 this year. As long as enough turn up of course.
Look up Fireball classic on the Nitro on-road thread.
Thanks all.
