steel spur gear for HPI cup racer?
 

I have been looking everywhere and can't find one. I upgraded it with my VXL out of a buggy that is getting rebuilt... I burned the plastic gear when the car had a little to much resistance :( do any of you know a steel/metal spur gear that will fit?

anyone have anything to say? or is there only plastic?

There probably isn't one made for it. Then again, there really isn't a need for a steel spur gear in an onroad car.

You shouldn't need a steel spur gear in that...if you stripped the spur either your gear mesh was too loose or the motor shifted in the motor mount.

replacing the plastic spur is going to be a lot cheaper than what will break next if you ran a metal spur.
