Hi all,
It is once again time for the Snowbird Nationals, the biggest race on the planet. Last year there were over 800 entries and I'm sure this year won't be any different.
Regrettably, I won't be attending this year's race. XRC is sending somebody else and I simply can't afford to pay my way like I did last year.
However, there are a few places on the web that promise to have live results for the race, so I am hopeful that you will be able to get your fix there. Some places to visit:
http://www.snowbirdnationals.com
http://www.rcresults.com
There has also been a lot of previous discussion of this year's race right here on R/C Tech:
http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...threadid=58868
http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...threadid=61982
I will be in contact with a few people at the track and I'll do/post what I can here. I feel bad for not being able to get out there, but I guarantee you that R/C Tech will make up for it with some innovative things that we'll be doing at the International Indoor Champs in Vegas later this year.
Anyway, here you go, post away!

Thanks Mike, I'm sure you guys will put on another great race, and I'll do everything I can to make sure I make it out next year.
Stephen, we expect 90-second update intervals. haha

well www.NashRCracer.com will be there and I'm not racing oval so I'll have 12 hours not to do anything. So I'll be wearing out my digital camera and posting stuff to my site. I don't think it will be like my coverage of cleveland where I had the results but I'll try to get some cool stuff.

I'll be there Monday. I hope there is wireless or atleast some wired access available. Looks like I need to create a SnowBirds Album in the gallery. I don't mind hosting "somewhat live" results, video (digital), or if you wish to donate to the photo gallery I'll be hanging with the SlickZero guys.

I have written software that looks at the files from autoscore and auto_magically formats the data and sends it to the web. The web site should be updated within ~1 minute of the end of the qualifer. I also do an un-official standings for everyone in that class. I will also be doing practice. We will have a practice standings per class. This will be based on a number of laps averaged. Mike will also have a web cab that takes snap shots and puts them on the web. We will have a wireless network that will have the same results that the web has. No access to the internet though. Bring your wireless cards and connect to the network to see all the results. We plan to have every lap that is run on the track on the web.
If all the software works like it supposed to. (famous last words).
