Hey Johnsen,

Please keep us updated with the results for the new parts. I am very curious to see what differences they will make

Good news for ARC drivers, and some that have been sitting on the fence to make a brand change.

ARC R10 2013. Looks like a great kit, with all the latest bling.

Looks awesome, but the original S411 have slots for taping the battery that way, so they're not the world's first.

Your right, S411 did have slots on the inside of the pack, however a thirs from each end, would not really have achieved the same effect, would still have tied the pack down too much.

In testing i cut a single hole in my chassis, placed a few layers of tape under the middle of the pack, and was quite impressed with the change in feel. You can really see the chassis flexing around the pack.

Serpent slots are on the same position just a little bigger opening. You dont have to use all four only the inner two.

Yeah, been busy with everything except r/c cars lately, haven't been racing either

Bought one R-10 when they were on special, will definitely buy the next model as well,
the quality looks as good as Xray (did I say that??)

& Yes, you're quite spot on, I will also get an Mi5 (or two)

I am excited and bummed at the same time. I just put a new 2.25 chassis, floating servo mount and separated sus mounts on the old car.

With that being said, is ARC going to have a shock kit available, or will one have to get the conversion kit to acquire all 4 shocks at once?

You are mistaken. Those holes are for the older lipos that have the bumps on the bottom. That is why they still have the slots for the traditional strapping tape. Besides, if you use those big openings, you risk your pack moving sideways further away from center line.

Who care who was first. you guys have clarified that other cars have it...

The 2013 arc looks great and seems to address the biggest issue on this nice car. (weight)

Can't wait to see some of the locals with the updated version.

I would be surprised if there wasn't a full shock kit available. There was for the first car. And towers would obviously be available. So should be easy to do it yourself.
