rceric - great idea for the future. I just ordered one for myself. Thanks!

Quinn - yup. I was there right before the Regional at HC. Tag and I ran stock while Strasnick, Cuffs and Schreff ran mod. I ended up winning and turning a 30, 5:01 or 2 I believe in the qualifying rounds at the old layout. I was running 30wt XRAY as usual with 2 holes open. I was also running pepto front and rear at that point.

Having said that, you could go for the heavier oil and see how you like it. To me, the reaction time on the car could be a little too slow for the quick sections.

You can get one from McMaster Carr (www.McMaster.com). Hope this helps.

I just used one of the kit's black screws to pre-thread the shock ends. Worked well. Pre-threading the shock ends makes building the shocks that much easier.

"The squirts". Good one. Yeah, they're colored pink, but labeled light purple. They're 33lb. springs.

The new car reacts much faster than the FT'04. I found myself dialing steering out of the car as I went along. The '05 transitions very well and has very aggressive cornering. I believe the heavier oil and spring is stopping the tendency to "tip" in the corners. If, you come out this Saturday, you'll see what I mean.

For the shock ends...

I heard that if you ream/drill out slightly, or possibel just thread them on, TC3 shock ends work, and you can snap them right onto the xray pivot ball. I havent tried it, just heard that it supposilty does work.

Also you can use the ball ends with a little bit of dremel work (shortening), and since they are made out of a more pliable plastic they dont break and are easier to thread on...

just some things to try

Dude, I almost turned around and gave you a motor about 50 times at the Nats. I think you finally had a decent motor for the mains, right?

ehhehe...I think yours were turning like 118s or 120s? Right.

We were right at 129-130 at the bottom and 95 in the middle for our best.
