Yo, tag! Where ya' been, buddy?! We miss at D.C. Ultra or should I say, Horsham R/C. What "toys" would you be referring to? I only have finely-tuned racing machines at my house.

i just finished building my fk05 and i gotta say this sucker is perfectly balanced even wit the batteries on one side. The only thing i dont really like is the 48 pitch spur gear. What 64 pitch spur are you guys using. I know the largest is 116

Sounds good. I'll be bringing up the rear, as usual (I'll shoot down after work so I just make the 1st heat - you know me. Hey, wait a minute! Would that package contain some high voltage items?

yes you were suppose to get them.....on the front shock tower you are suppose to slide a 3 x 10 screw through the shock tower then screw a M3 nut onto the screw then screw that ball on the same screw against the M3 nuts..

hope that helps....

I think that's the "1 million dollar question". I'm dying for the answer to that one. The only thing is... people are just getting their cars and assembling them. maybe we'll have a good gearing by next weekend, hopefully. Either way, I'll have some fun trying to figure it out.

I have already installed two on the front shock tower. 303240 Ball universal 5.8mm HEX

But these two (in the photos)... I think it suppose to be installed on the caster block for the camber linkages. The part number for these two I think it was 307454 Pivot Ball 5.0 double bevel shoulders.

Just got mine today from SpeetechRc!
Cant wait to build. Ditto on the spur question as I will be using 64 pitch.
Any of you have info on the Belt Tensioner option?
This is my first belt as I have been only into shaft.
What are the advantages of using this? What does it do?

Speaking with Mr Burch from X Ray @ the Nats I think you will be able to use the 100 tooth spur I think it's the biggest that will fit.
Anyone has a suggestion on what oil to use outdoors

112 matches up pretty well with 84 tooth spur in 48 pitch
116 / 87

www.teamxray.com has outdoor setups on the car. Look in the Forum.

So with 84/16 I get the rollout I am looking for. 22.88mm FDR 8.925

If I wanted to use 64 pitch I would have to use 100/19 to get 22.82 FDR 8.947

Is that right or does one have to use a different equation when formulating 48 pitch as opposed to 64 pitch?
Do you just use the same equation?
