Or you can put the short black Associated TC4 ball ends on with the short black studs. This provides plenty of clearance with out cutting further into the arm. It doesnt pop off either.

Thanks for the ideas. I really appreciate the answers. I'll put to bed the idea of mounting them on the inner (#1) hole. I guess if it was that easy, that's what they would have told us to do.

Any thoughts on knowing how much tension should be on the belt, aside from the adjuster being in the recommended position. I am wondering if over time the belt stretches and this has to be compensated for. How slack is too loose?

does any no if you can use a factory kit 04 diff on a 05 thanks Brett

Yes you can use the diffs, but the one ways are different.

The T1FK (commonly referred to as FK04) used 32t diff pulleys.

The T1FK05 and newer used 34t diff pulleys.

Yes you can use the same diffs in both cars (The diffs are compatible with all Xray cars to date: original T1-current) you just need to ensure that you are using the correct pulley.

I sure hope he catches this before he puts one in?
I let that slip my mind. Hopefully he knows about the internal ratio differences?

gosh, i need to get a 1/16th allen L-WRENCH to work on this xray hah...also since i lost my 3mm hex driver, i need to get another for these HUGE shock screws....all in all, i can't wait for sunday to use it, my irs tc3 looks alittle sad sitting over on the table right now, but hopefully i can find it a new home.
