For stock racing with new belts, its usually best to set it one or two notches more loose than the center position. After a few race days of breaking in the belts, you may need to tighten them up one notch.

The eccentric hub setting may differ between two cars, but usually either straight up or one notch loose for stock racing is good for a belt that has been broken in but not worn out.

Is the whole diff moving in between the bearings, or is the pulley moving in between the two diff halves? Pulley movement is pretty normal as it somewhat floats on the diff balls. If the whole diff is moving in between the bearings, then either the exccentric hubs holding the large bearings are worn out and need to be replaced, or your bulkheads are not spaced correctly on the chassis for some reason.

That type of play is normal. This allows the pulley to float and center itself with the belt. You can find a discussion on this in the XRAY forum 'Building the FK05' thread.

I just want to know weather it's worth getting anti roll bars for the car or not. most people i see don't run them, is there a reason for that?

It really depends on a lot of factors, including a drivers "feel" and comfort level.

Anti-roll bars are more commonly used as an easy and quick way to reduce grip at either or both ends of the car, if you don't have the time to dial in the grip balance with other chassis & suspension options. However, with certain types of setups they may provide the most effective way to balance out the car without causing other poor handling effects.

Default Foam Bumper

A brand new bumper split on me today , ok, it was a bit of a smash but surely it shouldn't break quite so easily. Anyway, someone mentioned that the blue high density bumper off the M18 is much stronger and might fit, does anyone know for sure if this is true?

Cheers

No way! Or you have to wash your car over 100 degrees celsius and hope it shrinks

good point. Any other suggestions for a 'stronger' bumper

I just gives you more roll center options for finer tuning adjustments.
