The past two race meets i have had problems with bearings seizing, these being brand new straight out of pack xray ones. One i took apart one of the balls had come unseated and was stuck between the two "plates" which they should ride in. This is only happening with the front steering blocks and rear hubs also, the bearings seize up, get very hot from running (must happen when racing). This was happening and i wasnt hitting anything at all, nice big open track.... Any idea why this has happened (3 bearings now) my old ones that i took out and kept incase i needed them work fine.

Thanks for the help on the caster blocks guys. I already have a P-Dub front
bumper. Most of the time the breakage is from a sideways hit on the boards when exiting a corner. I'm going to raise the rear rollcenter to see if it gives me more corner exit steering. That and try to hit the boards less!

I recommend contacting your national distributor for assistance. Sorry I'm not in a position to help anymore than this.

For most, it's around 55.5mm (2.18"). For 2-stage Jaco's it's 56.5mm (2.22"). However, their performance with smaller sidewalls depends on the grip of the track surface and the overall setup of the car. Less surface grip and stiff suspension setup, among other things, may require taller tires.

How tight should i have my front long and me rear short belt on my FK05?? Is that why in getting a faster wear on my front tires because one belt isnt adjusted right? Is there something to measure the tightness or just go by teh feel of it? my fronts are usually .5-.7mm smaller

That mainly depends on the traction of the track... at the Novak a lot of guys started off new tires at 2.17 but the traction was unreal. That being said there is a "Sweet Spot" dia that every setup seems to work best at... you just have to test until you find what works best for you.
At a normal club race we start in the 2.3 to 2.25 range
Brad its normal for the fronts to wear faster then the rears... just foam tire racing

Need a 2mm and 3mm chassis for Xray FK05. If you have one for sale, LMK.
