Looking at some of the set up sheets, I noticed the use of foam in the shocks, could any one explaine this to me, what part # the foam is and where it goes?

Thanks.

The Shock Foam Inserts are installed inside the cup of the rubber membrane bladder, beneath the upper composite mount. They help the shocks to rebound quicker which normally results in greater traction over bumps and quicker steering transitions.

can't wait for a shootout between the 05 and t2............if the difference is within a fraction of a second, i will laugh all winter

then again the msx refine is a much more nimble car then the 415,so i will expect similar performance gains for T2...then again did tamiya copied Yokomo..........??????????

What's it worth to you to easily change a spur gear at the track, or lets say a belt? What if it's the largest event you attend every year. What's missing your most important race of the year worth to you because you need to fix something fast that can't be fixed fast? depends on your perspective. If I had flown to a larger event, and discovered a real problem that required a serious overhaul fast, and I was unable, take the cost of your hotel, add in your airfare, entry fees and meals, time off from work, general aggrivation, and you'd get an answer that is higher in value than the car. I'm gonna run one (or two), just because it was desgined to be easier to work on. That's worth more to me than anything. Make my life a little easier.

That's all I need,,,,,a fraction of a second per lap to lap you and take the gold

Since the 415 and '05 have similiar layouts I think that a comparison between them is comparing apples to apples. Of course the Xray has a better design on the little things(main shaft keyed not set screwed) and higher quality materials(spring steel).

The easy access to diffs is a bonus, the real upgrade is corner speed- by the lowering of the center of gravity. This made a big difference to the 415

Since the T2 and the 415 are near copy cats. You might be able to put DJ's suspension on the T2. But, xray's are always so dialed I personally don't know why you would want to.

Does anyone know if the new car will chatter with a front spool? The new design is more in line with all the other cars that chatter.

you will still be able to get parts for the t1 platform. xray will never turn there back on existing customers. granted its an exotic car because parts are made in europe and takes awhile to get to hobby stores, if you want parts availability buy an associated, trust me you will miss the quality as soon as you open the package. i know its frustrating but if your selling your stuff and getting out because of this, IMO your half way out the door before. dont use this as the final push. check with some canadian distributors. i have seen them on the self myself. if you need some numbers let me know i would be glad to help.
