Just take out the middle screw of the bumper that attaches to your chassis....and start hitting things at an angle. That way you break your steering block and not your chassis or maybe break nothing at all. The p-dub is great, and might save your car from a slight tap on the wall. In a major crash, something has to give....just pray its not your chassis

EA beat me to it.
Listen to the man, he has the info to keep you happy with your non broken chassis.

split chassis? I must be lucky that a driver like me has not experienced that yet.

Also how did you hear about this leaving the middle screw out thing. and has this chassis splitting situation ever happen to you or any other racer you know?

I'll say it before and I'll say it again. We have a ton of xrays at our local track and have for the past 2.5 years and all have the bumper mounted the same and I have NEVER seen this happen. Not to say that it does but maybe if it keeps happening to people at your track you should look at the boards they are using or something.

I've owned 3 XRays and have never split the chassis while running all three screws. As mentioned above, take a look at the boards at the track and see it they're overly stout.
I like the P-Dub bumper, but logically, if the bumper is rock hard and has no "give," it's going to transfer those forces somewhere else, i.e. the chassis, or front suspension components.

Thanks Guys. I will try running it without the middle screw and see what happens.
I will also check the boards. We also have a part of the track that is nicknamed "the chicane of death" Which is pretty damn scary going thru. I always say a prayer entering that part of the track.
