Has anyone had a problem with the screw tearing out of the chassis after ca the chassis front edge? Should I also ca the counter sunk holes to prevent this.

Thats awesome they are selling the kits with 2 chassis's now but it sucks for those of us that bought a car 2 weeks ago.

RC Knight. That happened to me and about 10 other people at my track and most of us sanded and ca'ed the chassis including the countersunk holes.

And its not just the X-Ray chassis. It also happened to my friends brand new BMI Chassis. He was not happy. A word of advice lose the P-Dub bumper if you are running one. We all lost ours and no more problems. The bumper is way too hard and puts way too much pressure on the nose of the chassis and screws.

As far as people thinking that every single X-ray now will come with a 2.0mm and a 3.0mm chassis. Think again. I got the inside scoop. This is only temporary as they actually ran out of 2.5mm chassis's. They are waiting to get more in. So they just threw both of them in there to make everybody happy. So get them while you can. Laterz...

Easy way to not break the chassis when using a Pdub bumper is to just run the outter two screws in the bumper. It allows it to give and not break the chassis. Just leave the center chassis screw out.

What spur gears are better than the Xray spurs? They seem too soft. I did read a reference to prs gears. Where can I find these gears? LHS definitely does not stock this brand.

Or can anybody tell me what pages the spur gear discussion takes place?

I have read several pages with a dial up connection, real painful.

I did a search of this thread and the links keep taking me to the 1st page of this thread.

I have run the PDub bumpers on my nitro cars... my MI2's my Corally and now my FK05 with NO problems We run a lot of mod and when you hit something at that speed it tends to do more damage but I NEVER broke/cracked a chassis Last weekend we collected a spun car at the end of the straight head on... no damage. I highly reccomend the Pdub bumper... and no... I am not sponsored by PDub

through the chassis? Are they going to make a new bumper that will fully cover a 3mm chassis and not have the screws so close to the edge of the cf? Just talked to a guy at the track and he had the same thing happen. Seems like a URGENT issued to me.

Hi All

I assume the FK05 comes with medium C-Hub's? Are most people using the Hard 3 degree C's? I bent an alu one I was using and feel that time to go back to composite and don't know whether to go for Hard or mediums? I run outdoors on low grip asphalt.

if you run on low grip go with the mediums, or even the softs if it is terribly slippery.

hard arms, c hubs etc are for high bite conditions when flex isn't wanted.

Charles - You can get the PRS gears from EA Motorsports, that's were I got mine, good price and fast shipping. teameamotorsports.com I bought 5 114t gears and thought I would need some spares since I'm running outdoor asphalt.......I'm still on my first one after 3 race weekends, that's even running a spool and bouncing of a pipe or two every once in a while!

I'm using the Kimbrough spur gears on mine. I took them and sanded them down so they're thin enough to not rub and they worked just fine. The Kimbrough's are cheaper than the RW's, at least locally.
