Yes. The less amount of un-sprung weight, the better.

I'm both happy and feeling a little ripped off that the Xray now comes with a 3.0mm chassis

If we have a 2.5mm chassis we never used can we mail it in for a free exchange

The fk05 doesnt come with a 3mm chassis. Where are you getting your info from.

It comes with a 2.5 chassis.

Gosh, I tried that hard set up and it goes like billeo. So fast, it made my body collapse; it was a beat up mMazda, now in the trash can. I could only get my hands on red 30lb springs and 30 wt Xray oil, but the difference from, purple/violet f/r, 25/30 f/r was monumental. I love the exitment of just about being able to keep up with the car

Greeting people,

Jacko

Local Hobby Shop said it now comes with the 3.0mm, but they said it didn't have both the 3 & the 2.5. I guess the good news is it will be easier to find a cheap 3.0 as the eBayers that split up the kits will have them.

The current shipment of kits we just recieved has a sticker on it that says:
"RCAmerica Special Indoor/Outdoor kit"
"Kit includes: 2.0mm Asphault Chassis"
"3.0mm Carpet Chassis"

Very few kits came in but I suspect this will also be true for their next shipment of kits. Due in two weeks

I'm looking into buying an FK'05 so now I have to questions
1. Will I need a thicked chassis plate for foam on carpet?
2. Is there any talk about an FK'06?
