Here's an update on my FK05 one-way foam/carpet setup project for those interested.

Default New Serpent shocks for T1 FK'05

Acutts (or someone else),

You wrote (page 126) about the new serpent shocks. Are Xray pistons (non-adjustable) and springs compatible ?

Thanks fot the answer.

Has anyone tried the 0.75mm lower suspension holders? Can you run them front and rear or are they just for the rear of the car?

You can use them on either end. Team drivers are frequently using them now to lower the rear roll center half as much than if you moved the suspension holder screws to the lower holes in the bulkheads. Some actually use them only for the rearward two holders of the rear pins to provide .75 degrees of anti-squat. If you wanted to raise your front roll center slightly, you could use the new suspension holders in the top holes on the front bulkheads.

In vegas i used them in the front to add anti dive while not changing my roll center. You can use them all around in the car...

The springs are perfectly compatible with serpent. The pistons Im not sure I use the serpent ones... the shocks come with 3 hole installed and then in the package u get 1 and 2 hole as well.

Won my first meeting out with the new shocks ... FTD, fastest lap and 2 final wins ...

Thanks for the answer acutts.

I received my T1 FK '05 last week. I started the building with shocks... I always start the building of a new kit with shocks.

But with xray shocks, what a deception ! First of all, they look not so pretty than the rest of the car (not so crucial, I agree). Then, the rebound issue : almost impossible to have 4 equal shocks.

These Serpent shocks look great and work very well (according to your last results). So, I think I'm gonna try them.

Cheers.
