I probably will, but I think 40 bux for 2 thrust assemblies is a little silly. They are virtually identical to the Corally's and those cost between 6-8 bux a piece.

If there is a flaw or downside to owning this car it's parts cost. If you want a decent supply of spares and tuning parts your looking at almost doubling the price of the kit! It's too bad this thing rocks on the track!lol

I am going to replace them, but saw the carbide versions are almost $20 a piece, and the better tougher version for the RDX chassis are like 7 bux...??? Should these be okay? I bought my 05 second hand and now looking back I'd bet the diffs never had grease applied to the thrust setup
the losi xxx-s thrust bearing is the same and its like $5us for carbide ones

X-Ray does have a free replacement program for the defective thrust bearings in the FK05. I sent a e-mail to RCAmerica & got my upgraded replacements in about a week.

i am having serious problems withmy car....and as youmentioned the thrust races..it springed to mind that thismay be the problem.

thing is, mid corner to exit...on power my backend will just come out...not as though it has oversteer or anything because it was fine until i got hit up the back end real hard.

i was thinking, maybe the jolt has damaged the thrust races..the diff feels fine but i don'tknow...

anyone have any ideas?

You might want to check the tweak.

yeah we tried to do that asmuch as we could but a few of the screws had stripped so we drilled them out..waiting on a new screw kit.

i am going to rebuild the diff while its all apart anyway, see if needs new balls etc.

hopefully it is just tweak..will let you know.
