tire diameter x 3.14 ÷ gear ratios

exmaple: Xray FK04 whit rubber tires and run a monster
whit a monster you want a roll ou of 23:

rubber tires = 63 mm

gear ratios = spurgear/pinion x gearbox ratio

the formula:

63mm x 3.14 ÷ (128/27 x 1.77) so 63mm x 3.14 = 197.82 and 128/27 x 1.77 =8.391

197.82 ÷ 8.391 = 23.575 of rollout

Well, I still have all the red parts, just experimenting with the look of the car. Maybe blue parts next time..

Default Can somebody please help me out

Can somebody help me out

PLEASE TIME IS RUNNING OUT

What would be a good price for a used FK05 in good shape ?

I don't have alot of info on the car.
I know it has two bodies.(STRATUS 3.0 and MAZDA 6)
Dual moter cooling fans
2mm chassis
I also know the car was always ran in ether 19 turn or Mod classes so it probaly has more hop ups than I listed. What would be a good $$$$$

What would be some good questions to ask the owner ?

What are the hot hop ups for this t\c ?

I am new to this hobby so any help would be awesome............

Good price for a used FK05 roller..........around $250, that's about $100 to $150 under the price of a new one. It does have the cooling fans and a 2mm chassis which would run around $100 to install new. You should ask if it has any spares, if it has a front Multi-dIff, front spring steel axles, ect. Multi-diff is around $50 new, spring steel front axles are about $40 new, spares it just depends on how much it has. General rule for used stuff is 50% of it original value, I find with R/C stuff it tends to be more like 65%-75% of original value. Hope this helps.

Putting up a feeler on selling my FOC xray. It's been converted to the factory (not '05) setup with short arms, etc. The ball suspension has been sold. Well sorted with a season or two worth of spares. I won the points season 2 years ago with it, but haven't raced since then.

Main extras are BMI chassis, spool, one-way, standard front diffs, low ratio gear set, extra springs and tonnes of spares.

What do you all think a roller should go for?

I would say that could pull in around 2 to 250 range easy.

the red looked amazing john
and to be honest, what you currently have doesnt look good, i mean its good but ya cant see too much thats different. i think neon green would be sweet. saw a xxx-s that was all greened out
and green is not a common color
you see reds, and blues, and purples but green is sorta out there
my 2 cents
