I picked up the T1FK05 today and had a few questions...

1) Anyone selling or know where I can get a good deal on the battery strap? LHS is out of stock.
2) Are there any anodized screw kits available? Yeah I know you have to be careful with aluminum screws but they are so pretty
3) What about a steel screw set? How much weight does this add?
4) What are your tips, upgrades advice for running foam on carpet? Not ready to move up to the 3mm chasis so you can leave that one out

Appreciate the assistance and look forward to joining the X-Ray believers.

James

Wish I had that link yesterday, $359 for a T1! Nice. Anyway...

I am considering getting the RC Screwz stainless steel screw kit for the T1FK05 does anyone have an idea on how much weight this adds over the standard screws? Any thoughts on good idea or bad idea?

Not enough.. but its a good way to add some weight. Also, the kit screws strip kinda easy if you don't prepare your chassis putting CA on the countersunk holes.

Default Weight...

Don't worry too much about extra weight. I had to add 80 grams to get my 05 up to the 1500g limit for a race. The problem was to find a place to add it

Picked up the battery strap, wide top deck, aluminum mounts, and steel front hubs today and yes it stings to spend over $100 on a new kit

Did I miss anything for carpet?
