I know the Losi guys are running different ratios in the fron and rear. But I think that's with spools and one ways up front.

Theres a local JRXS guy here running a smaller front pulley and it seems to work well for him. I run a one-way with foams on carpet, so I planned on giving it a try as well.

the Losi pullies ae one tooth differance ie. 41 or 42 teeth. on the Xray there is a two tooth differance ie. 32 or 34 tooth. Do think it will work the same as the losi stuff. but go ahead and try I would like to know let you do the work

yes its the same way here BUT they only have a one tooth defferance between pullies. The XRAY has a two teeth differance. I dont think Xray makes a 33tooth pulley ??

I would say have plenty c-hubs. I have ruined a few spurs though. And I broke a bumper brace as well. Haven't broke an arm yet though. Knock on wood. This car is really tough, I'm suprised I haven't broken more. I'm pretty certain you want to use 6* hubs for carpet. but I could be wrong.

I don't know of anyone running Ti tie-rods in their Xrays, since the included spring steel pieces are light and strong...

If you insist on Ti, I'd suggest downloading the manual where it lists the tierod lengths

Just my $.02 on the overdrive/underdrive issue...

They are doing it when they are not runnng two diffs and they are doing it on asphalt, not on carpet. I got the impression that it was to gain more steering with a one way on carpet, i cant imagine how evil the car would handle with a over or underdriven car on carpet, or with a one way on carpet. If you need a carpet set up, check out mikes or ralph's from the car nats, if you need more steering since your track isnt high enough bite, raise the rear roll center, increase castor, or soften up front suspenion piecies, or even less the front roll bar, but I wouldnt suggest a one way or changing the pullies.

80% of R&D never works.

But its that 20% that keeps you trying new things that 100% of the industry experts say will never work...

Its not an issue. But just one more thing to test.
