I would guess that this outdoor season there will be close to 15 ppl running xrays consistently week in week out.
Also, why no carpet? Gilroy is only 25 miles from the Jo.

Yeah, but I would still race asphalt more than Gilroy.
I would rather drive to Ripon, the track is nicer.
So you saying the 05 WILL be competitive on asphalt this year?

I think it will be, and Im picking up one. But Ill have my TK as back up.
You cant say for sure that it will be good at all, but im pretty sure it will be better than the current car, if thats the case I'll be happy.

Just a lot of bickering back and forth about if it would work iindoors on carpet.
And of course all the Xray people are saying is: "This car is great, buy it" they never answer the question of what it is better suited for?
How about you guys?
Is this thing worth getting if my Pro4 kicks ass on asphalt with rubber tires? Could the 05 compete, or should I stick with my HPI?

Anyhow, regarding your concern, would you be able to cateqorize from what you believe the different about a car that you can judge it is meant for asphalt or carpet? If winning big race (World Championship for instance) is what you wanted to see, TRF should be on your priority list to consider.

But, people say it is a great car.
I'm keeping my Pro4.
That way I can have shaft and Belt and decide for myself.
Could be that each car has its pros and cons for specific tracks.

seems the JRXS hasnt done jack in its pre-production stages. Which doesnt really fill me with confidence.
Of course its the driver more than the car, but if people like Matt Francis & Dirt cant do well with it, i feel it will be a handful for the non-pros. But hey, the cars not done yet, so id assume they are still using the races to test out new ideas for the car.

I've been monitoring the Xray site religiously...and no mention of a release date yet...
If the shop has been hounded by people waiting for the car, they may have just made something up to shut people up..or to help shelf stock move on other kits by discouraging people from waiting...
Either move is lame...
