Well, you can run an 87T 48P Xray spur with no problems. The spur gear is narrower than most 64P gears so flip back through this thread, and people have mentioned which spurs fit. PRS 64P TC spurs fit up to 116T I believe, as well as an HPI 122T.

If you are running outdoors, 48P is more durable, indoors on carpet 64P is quieter, perhaps a tad more efficient, and offers more gearing options.

Thanks to the tip. A-Lo was kind enough to hit me with a few spur gears. I have been running 100t in the Pro4 so I have a few HPI gears as well.

Thank you guys for recommending the Spring Steel Wheel Axles for the front. I finally drove my new T1FK'05 on Friday night without putting these in. Then the next day I pulled it apart and the front aluminum wheel axles were mushroomed and I could barely get it out to put the spring steel ones in. And that was with just one night on them. The moral of the story. Put the spring steel wheel axles on the front of your car.

P.S- Is anyone else having problems with stripping out the bottom chassis screws? I have to buy new bulkheads now because the screws are stuck in them after having to drill them out.

You can remove the remains of the screws from the bulkheads.... drill them out even further. This has been brought up before even by yourself I believe, you know its happened to a few people. Check the teamxray forums as well.
All I can say is.... CA the countersinks in the chassis before assembly and there is NO need to put any serious leverage on those screws...

Default bumpers

What's the current recommendation for an upgraded front bumper?

I know people in the past have been fond of the Pdub and rubberneck bumpers... anything else to consider?

Has anyone tried the XRay "Impact absorbing front bumper"?

Thanks!

Bob,

I used a pdub with the original lower plate, and well... I am not the best driver but the pdub has started to split around the body posts. I have now gone to using the impact absorbing bumper with the pdub to give it a bit more support.

That's what I'm using ..works great, with the added benefit that you can push people out of your way very easily

The PDub and Ruberneck bumpers work extremly well but they do tend to crack around the body posts after a hard impact and contact the wheels From my experience. I would recomend you get the x-ray pre-cut bumper, this will give you a place to mount transponders when you are not able to use your personal and provides is much denser than the stock bumber and rounds away from the weels to prevent wheel rub during impact.

The belts are on opposite sides (left/right) between the 2 cars.

there are two multi-diffs, they are NOT interchangeable... the one for the older cars is backwards for the 05

Quote from RC Canada..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We will be sending the replacment bearing via our dealers, and not direct.

We wiill not be servicing "grey market cars" with this offer.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apparently I own a "Gray market car"(had no idea of such a thing...)anyway,I contacted Brian at RC America on Fri of last week.He told me my bearing would be mailed out ASAP.
Received them TODAY,To my door!!
Now that is service.
Thanks RC America.

Kyle,

your car didn't come from the Canadian distributor, therefore it is grey market. You KNOW that. You went about it the right way...requesting from RCAmerica...that is where your kit was supplied from....

It's the same as anybody who has a grey market car...they should contact the source of where their kit came from....

Glad the parts came through nice and quick for ya

Hi Kyle,

We are only allotted a certain amount of bearings based on the cars that we ordered. we have enough to service every car we sold in Canada.

I don't remember telling you your car was a grey market car, but your car did come from the USA and theirfore RCA would have your replacement bearing.

If I was to send you a a set of bearings it would mean that a person that did buy their car through the proper dist would go without a replacment bearing, I hope you understand.

There are also some cars from HK, ( grey market) that we ( RCA and CWRC) wont service in this deal. Those owners must go through the HK dist, as it would be them that would have the replacment bearing for that particular car.

I hope that makes sence.

Thanks
