The canuck distributor told me it would be a couple of weeks until the stores have them to distribute. As I think we get them from RCA likely the US stores will get them just before we do.

Hi Guys. I just put the kit together. Everything was great exept for the aftermarket battery brace. When I put it on it hits the tabs on the battery. Did this happen to anyone else? What do I do? Should I just tape them or dremel out the brace where the tabs are hitting.

Also When I mounted my servo(JR Digital DZ8550) It doesn't fit in between the 2 silver aluminum holders. The sides hit. I cant screw it in all the way. Should I use spacers? Anyone else have these problems. Any help would be appreciated.... Thanks

As far as the battery tabs hitting the strap, just resolder the tabs that are hitting.(being sure to position the tabs so they dont hit).
And for the servo are you using the correct holes in the chassis?

Check the instructions and look at the diagram. I, initially, installed the servo wrong. Also, there are additional mounting holes in the chassis. You may have to use them.

Thanks Guys. I am an idiot. I just checked. There is another hole to widen the servo mount. I used it and the servo fits fine. As far as the battery brace bar hitting the tabs. Instead of bending the tabs up. I think I will break out dremel. Thanks.....

I know this has been asked before:

Will the complete diff assembly from the '04 kit fit in the '05?

Yes, you just have to make sure it's got the 34T pulley.

I dont think so the pullise might have the same diameter but the width is different. The pullies on the 05 are much thinner then the 04.....

WOOPS Reread ya post... The diff pullies will fit on the 04. What i ment to say was the lay shaft pullies are thinner. SORRY

Regarding the thrust bearing problems:

When will new kits be shipping with the correct thrust bearing or are they already? If my LHS orders a new '05 for me will it have the good or bad thrust bearing?

Qwiglee,

Do yourself a favour... take apart the diffs before you put them in the car. The diffs are not greased sufficiently IMO, and you can greasem while they are apart. When you take them apart you will be able to tell which bearing they came with.

The bad bearing is a one sided cage made of what looks like flimsy steel or perhaps alu (silver colour). The good ones are copper coloured and solid.
