Are the thrust bearings you're talking about the Losi style bearings on the front page of your web site?

Yes I origionally got them as a replacement for Losi vehicles and now I am finding out they fit more than Losi's

They are 3x8 thrust bearings.

I run one notch looser than the starting setting suggested in the manual, with both stock and 19T

Jimbo,

I run the front as stated in the manual and I run the rear as loose as the adjustment will allow. It seemed as though the rear belt was just too tight for stock racing.

On the issue of belt tension:

I have the front set on the most loose setting possible (the notch that has a big gap before it) and my front belt is still actually a little tight compared to my FK04. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Default re: thrust bearing

I just bought the diff. rebuilt kit from Corally as suggested by Steve @ Speedtech, fits perfectly in there, and by the way it looks, I'm almost positive it's the same thing from the original Xray T1. Bombproof!

i am lost . never ran touring cars before only offroad and i do not understand the roll out and gear charts that much . what size spur and pinion combos can you run in the xray with a epic roar stock . the rpm numbers on the yellow sticker are 23,000 something if this helps and the track size is medium with a few technical sections with a full staightaway so it still needs topend speed . 64 pitch or 48 pitch is fine because i'm pretty clueless at this point . oh and the tires will start out at around 2.25

Which track are you running at?

At Platinum Hobbies in Columbus, we were running the following:

1.01" for the Monster Stock
.98" for the Epic

My Online Rollout calculator

PM me your e-mail address and I can send you my excel version.
