Yes you can, and I would do it that way....but now I know about it and it would bug me every time I think about it. I'll use tape and sell it Plus having the battery hold down makes it harder to put in motors and such.... That's just my $.02 cents...please come to your own conclusions

I turned them inward and the don't look to bad, I'm gonna tell people it's by design to increase air flow and drivetrain efficiency ...or I'll come up with some ghetto way to fill in the cutouts

Don't you have a diff to build or some tires to mount or something? Stop wasting time on the forums and go spray some traction on the track I'll be there as soon as I get my parts from the big brown truck today.

...actually diff's built, motor guard mounted, battery brace installed ...heading out at 10:00am to blow off the track and lay some rootbeer down, I didn't put the multidiff in yet cause I want to time my run with diff, them multidiff, then locked multidiff

must be nice to have the track to yourself! you bought the motor gaurd ehhhh? Did you buy enough parts to get DAL back on the track as well?

I just got my 05 built and took my time with everything, especially the shocks, and I relubed the diffs also. I have a small problem though. The belts don't seem to line up well. The front belt is towards the right side of the diff pulley in the front. It rubs the edge of the pulley and makes a little noise and I feel creates some drag. The rear belt is the same way as the belt is on the left side of the pulley on the diff. I can't figure out why this does this or what could be out of alignment.

Hey mate, make sure you got the diffs going into the bulkheads in the right way as there is a specific way with the longer sides, check the belt tensioner positions that they are all the same and turn the spur so when the diffs so u can see the diffs spinning to see if the are turning alrite not all wonky.

Default Carbide thrust bearings

Anyone know where I can get the 309072 carbide thrust bearing assembly? Either an online hobby shop or someone willing to part with an extra they might have.

Maybe I should ask if they are even out yet. I have looked at stormer and they are out of stock. Or I should say "on order".


Any info would be great.
