2mm is the main one yes...but, you do need the others mentioned, 3mm to put the shocks on, 1.5 for small set screws, and 2.5 for wheels

What replacement thrust bearing are you guys using for the faulty stock one? I just got mine and have not raced it yet but don't want to have a problem. Thank you in advance.

Losi makes a very nice wrench set with those 4 sizes.

Now if I could find a nice 5mm open-end for the connecting rod ends.

Hey...I am sorry, but I just can't stop laughing at all these issues you guys are complaining about with the diffs and the spur gears. Let's see....my kimbrough gears work perfectly fine, don't rub at all, they get close, but don't rub...and the whole thing with the diffs. I have never had a problem with the Xray diffs going bad or getting gritty or anything. Maybe you guys are doing something wrong with your break-in procedure???

Nuke...

The diffs come with either none or virtually no lubrication in them.

I pulled the diffs apart and found very little silicone grease on the balls, but I didn't have the snap ring pliers to try and look at the thrust bearing. So i added grease to the balls and that was it... yet my car was noisy, after following the break-in procedure outlined in the manual.

Someone else offered to pull the diffs apart for me who had the correct tools.... yup the thrust bearings were dry. Once correctly greased up the diffs are sweeeet!

Haven't tried any other spurs but stock yet but I am tempted to try. I have lots of 48p pinions , but I will start collecting the 64's soon.

Snap ring pliars make getting the snap ring off really easily IMO, you need one in your toolbox if you seriously race the Xray

Just with an "itty bitty" scredriver ...yea I keep meaning to try and find one of them snap ring chingaderas, never had to get one, where would I find one? Is that just a home depot thing? ...I purchased a spring steel diff and all the parts were "apart" so that was was cakewalk to grease up and assemble, it's just the assembled ones that came with the kit that I gave "the screwdriver treatment" to ....but heck this week I'll only be runing 1 diff anyways

Before you assemble the car, take apart the diffs and lube them ... that way you won't run into any problems. As for using pliers, you may actually bend the c-clip that holds everything together if you use that. I have a set of side cutters that work perfectly for the application and have been using them. When I have a moment, I am going to get the correct tool for the job.

As for incorrectly breaking the diff in, I can assure you that the break-in procedure is not the problem - rather, it's the fact that the balls in the diff do not come with the adequate lube. According to X-Ray they are going to have a comment on their website regarding this problem on Monday.

Has anyone noticed this car to be loud? The bearings seem to be 89.9999% of the cause...IMO
