Wow, this is pretty impressive.... I was watching real close to the battle of the new cars..... FK05 vs. JRX-S..... Well, not much of a battle there.

Guys at XRAY better be ready for a LARGE demand for the new ride!

Thumbs up BMI chassis for the T1FK

I have decided to wait until BMI releases (hopefully) a new option chassis (top and bottom) then I only need to buy the rear bulkheads, motor mount, one-way diff, pulleys, shaft and spurs to convert my T1FK

Someone posted a pic of the new xray in the Snowbirds thread, I noticed that the top deck is different then what is shown on the xray website, is that on option top deck or will there be various kits of the car depending on the type surface you race on, similar to what Corally has done?

I think they were running pre production prototypes. Personally, I would be surprised if they didnít offer different top decks as options.

from what ive read on the xray forums, the drivers may be driving the pre-production FK05. What you see on the xray site is what you will get (afaik)

are you sure it wasnt just a pre-production model?, cos im 99.9% certain that they wouldnt announce a new kit giving details on the Thursday, and theres new hop-ups for it also.

Generally, everything on the latest car is the best of what they have, only the excessively fancy bits dont go onto the kit.
They wouldnt bring out a new kit and then suggest that another is better, they'd just put that onto the car in the first place.

In Europe I beleive they run rubber tires, the top deck on the car at the Snowbirds was used to stiffen the chassis due to foam tires, they would not need that top deck with rubber tires, also I noticed in the picture that the chassis extends under the motor also different then what the xray site shows, and xray also claimed that they were running production kits at the birds.
