Interesting. Does that not create a big forward angle on the shock? Also, what do you expect to accomplish by doing this?
I have the exact same car as you and am curious

Interesting Jon... Never seen that before. I would think that would cause the shock angle to be severe and cause binding. What's the reason for having the shock like that??
BTW - Nice chassis and cells, and you're missing a receiver in that picture...you can't race like that

What size spur are most of you guys going to when making the conversion to 64 pitch on the '05?

Guys, Jon has the right idea when it comes to converting the position of the shock to the front--in least in regards to the sweep angle of the shock.
When you run the outer hole on the arms and dremel down the arm to make way for 28mm tires, the angle of the shock is extreme. That's one reason I never ran the outer hole on the arms even on carpet. It just didn't feel smooth enough--had a weird feeling to it.
If you notice from the pictures, the angle of the shock is now right.

Like you said about the outter hole, i dont like it either. The inner just seems more stable.

My assembled FK'05 comes in at 1444g... I need to add 56g for a race this weekend. I rarely stray outside of club racing where its run what ya brung, so I can't justify shelling out the $$ for the XRay weights.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Anyone have any experiences to share about ideas they have tried in the past? (successful or unsuccessful)
Thanks

have a little bit of problem when exiting. the rear end tends to step-out when you exit hairpins causing the car to loose forward motion when you go on the throttle. can anyone give any tips?

whats your setup

You can go to Walmart tire center and get some balancing weights and put an 1/4 on each part of the chassis. I think 1 once equals 28 grams.
