Default 24mm and 26mm wheels what is the difference?

And please dont say 2mm.....ba da bing! What are the track conditions or surface where I would prefer one over the other.......thanks

Actually it depends on the tire. Most tires now are 24mm. It's rare to see anything that is 26mm for racing.

Ok you wanna use 24mm tires and wheels on:

Asphalt (tight/open)
Carpet (tight/open)
Concrete (tight/open)
wood flooring (tight/open)

And you will wanna pick 26mm tires when:

You race a spec class like Tamiya TL-01/TT-01 and it mandadtes 26mm tires...

they still make 26mm??
Seriously though, don't even bother with 26mm unless your just parking lot racing or are entering concourse. Most of the nice tread & show tires are 26mm, not really suited for racing.
