Exclamation What do I get? AE TC4 or Losi XXX-S Graphite Plus?

i need some advice. i was looking at getting an ep tc, but i cant decide. i was looking closely at the new AE TC4, i like the shaft drive because i would be practicing in unprepared parking lots, and also because i have an NTC3. i thought i would be able to use some of the same parts for it, and also keep with the AE brand. the only drawback is that you have to get the graphite kit, because the kit doesn't come with the graphite parts(kinda stupid if its a factory team kit). the price on the TC4 is great aswell, $209.99USD. but i also saw the Losi XXX-S Graphite +. its belt drive, but it is a sealed belt drive, which prevents any debris from entering the belt. since the JRX-S is coming out soon, i thought that the G + kit would be getting pretty cheap. it comes with all the graphite parts, but they say that you have to get the black belt kit, frees up drivetrain or something.

so, any thoughts?

Not sure if buying a new xxxs would be a good idea since the new losi car is going to be released in about a month. Both great cars tho, my opinion-go associated.

I say XXXS, sealed drivetrain is awesome for parking lots and it should be still be plenty competative. I won't be getting rid of mine anytime soon

G+ is pretty spankin' from the box, really needs nothing! Maybe the black belt kit, but other than that, it has it all.

The TC4 is a 'Team' Kit, not a 'Factory Team' kit....

The TC4 version with all the goodies is in the works but is still a fair distance off...

I would go with a tc4 because the jrxs is going to be coming out soon. Or you could wait for the jrxs but keep in mind that the tc4 will probably be much cheaper.

and just because the JRXS is coming out, doesn't mean the XXXS is any less of a car

boy, i didn't know that this thread would be so heated.

i would still rather get the TC4 because of the great price. the TC4 is new tech, and is not likely to be replaced any time soon. the XXX-S is already being replaced, not saying its not a good car, but i prefer to keep up with the jonses. i bought a t-maxx last year, 3 months before the revo announced its arrival. once i saw that the revo had come out, i would have saved my money for the revo rather than spending all my money hoping up my maxx. i just recently sold it to get the FT NTC3, which i hope will not be replaced soon either(it probably will considering the TC4's arrival). and once again, the parts sharing and AE brand consistency is what i like. i would rather purchase the kit now and hop up in the summer when i have a ton more money. if i had the money to get the XXX-S G+ and its upgrades i would just get a Yokomo or something.

If you want a great price, check out the Xray T1R for 199.99. Not to start a war, but the Xray is a superior car compared to the TC4 and Losi.
