Although the 1st run after the camera angle change is a disqualification on account of a flip

6 pages and this is the truest post on the thread. Watch the vid, see how the speed gains 60+mph in a fraction of a second. Its obviously a glitch.

Was hanging out at my LHS yesterday and we happened to have a local Traxxas employee stop by (I live in Plano where Traxxas is located). We got to talking about the new funny car and the XO-1 and I mentioned about this thread.

Here's what he said, the stock esc will not handle 8S (We all knew this I think), however apparently neither can the stock motor. So even if you swapped in a capable esc, you would need to swap out the motor too.

Sorry dude but you are busted.

Stock motor will take 8s. Just don't expect any warranty work.

Talk about a thread resurrection...

Buddy was busted back in April when he couldn't post any actual PROOF of the claim, no actual video of the car reaching the claimed speed, just a video of a software app screenshot. A Traxxas employee was certainly not needed to verify or dispute his claim.

No doubt he was lying/wrong. I'm just defending that the xo1 motor can handle 8s. Warranty voided of course.
