A little personal advertising does help. But you have to back your boast with results.

Down here in the little red dot, we have a driver that has caught the eye of Mike Reedy. Nicholas Lee. He's still not yet 15 I believe.

If there aren't any major events in your area/country then you should travel to larger event. But at this point you need to transmitter time under your belt...a lot of time before you even think about being sponsored.

guys i am by no means top gun in my reigon. i get parcial sponsorships right now i get a percentage off my order. i in return do my best to perform well and support my sponsors products in hopes to reaching the 100% factory team level but that is very hard to get. I race local mostly and attend some ragional races when i can get away from work. If you are top in your reagion and reach top 20 in the nats you will be sought after you won't have to look.

guys like me are lucky enough to get a particial and try to prove to our sponsors that we are worth the extra benefits.

like i said befor send out a email or a letter to the companies in resume form outlining your racing finishes, goals and future plans and don't get discouraged if you are told no. also do not go to associated , losi, xray, ect ect thay sponsor from races hit up the smaller companies and be honest if you finished in the H MAIN tell them that

Dude, you have the wrong attitude completely. If your goal now, before you even pick up a radio or go to your first race is to get a full factory ride and get your stuff for free, get out now. There are excellent racers all around the country that will never get factory rides. Some at most earn a 50% deal after years and years of racing, paying their dues, and doing great at huge races. Some racers get partial deals from smaller manufacturers, but the vast majority don't get any sponsorship at all. Sorry for the rant, but this is a bad attitude that many newbies have that brings in new blood, keeps them for 6 months, then they leave when they aren't the new local hotshoe. Go out, have fun, and don't worry about sponsorship....yet
