Default Mamba and VRC Connector

I was wondering if anyone has tried using the VRC connector with the Castle Link software for the Mamba. I know I'm cheap, but I've already got the VRC connector. Also Donate to the Josh Cyrul Legal Defense Fund, He deserves it. And tell Trinity what you think too. Just a polite suggestion.

I really don't know if you al know but Hacker has a new motor !! the E40 here is a News Flash from holland so some words and sentences maybe a bit strange because i used a Free Online Translotor so here it is :

Hacker Brushless motors are one of the most known manufacturers of brushless motors in the world. This company has not only a very vast line of all kinds of types and half-measures brushless motors, it is also once more one of the largest ' OEM ' manufacturer of brushless engines in the world. ' OEM ' manufacturer are a company what provides ' nameless ' products to other companies, those these products then under their own mark name on the market bring. Hacker are because of this one of the largest suppliers, of what the products under a lot of mark names to obtain be (o.a. LMT and tornado). An entirely new development of Hacker is the new Hacker E40 Rc-Car motor. The Hacker E40 are the first driving force behind Hacker which satisfies to the newest ROAR at, and therefore it is approved for competition use. E40 a maximum capacity of 900watt has, which the motor can reach Neodymium magnets by the use of ' high temperature ' and a special form of internal convolutions, how a minimum capacitance and a maximum performance are reached. Particular to the Hacker E40 brushless engine is that these are suitable for both sensorcontrolled and sensorless correctors. The half-measures of the motor agree exactly to a standard ' 540-size ' engine and as has a standard dia meter of 3,17mm. The maximum Rpm of the motor lies on 60,000 rpm, and the engine is suitable for 4.8 up to 9,6Volt (four up to eight Nc-accucellen).

Here is a pic :

I really like this motor but i really don't know wich controller i must get for this, can somewheone help me ? and please let it be not to much money

Greetings Florian

Do you want to run it sensored or sensorless?? The best in sensorless is the u-force 75. I have heard people that like the M-troniks one too, but I don't personally have one.

Default Mamba Programming Question

Hi Guys,

I'm running a Mamba 6800 system in a Mini-T. It all seems to work OK, but I'm confused about setting the ESC for my Transmitter (jR XS 3).

Basically when running through the setup process, the ESC seems to hang at the point where the red is flashing. Like I said it doesn't seem to matter, I just abort and everything works OK, but its wierd.

I had a response from Joe at Castle Creations and he told me to check that my Transmitter is set to 50/50 instead of 70/30. Well I've looked at my transmitter manual, and there is no mention of this, so I'm not sure what that is all about.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

MIKE

Can anyone tell me, which ratio for TC is ideal for U-Force 50 + Lehner Basic 5300?
I ran with 1:6,7 after 3 minutes, cut off.
The speed was not so impressive.

Default 1/18th 6800kv vs 1/10 6800kv

[I probably should have posted this here not on main thread.]

I have to assume that a Mamba Max for 1/10 scale would out perform a Mamba for 1/18 th scale, but if they have the same KV then what number/spec do you use to compare their relative power. Is it different torque and the manufactures just don't list that value?

Someone said 'Watts' I see nothing on the spec sheets that woud allow you to compare the power output of a 1/18th vs a 1/10th scale brushless motor.

Has anyone got any tips on gearing and stopping thermalling with the new Orion 3.5?

I ran a FDR of 10.6 on a medium sized carpet track and could barely make 4mins

I ran it with a LRP Sphere Competition ESC, which ive heard puts some additional timing onto the motor due to the software used. Also i cant work out whether its the ESC or Motor getting too hot and which one i should place a fan onto.

Anybody have any experience with this situation or anyone got any ideas to help me out.

thanks a lot

Canīt say anything on the gearratio but itīs true with the software based timing on the LRP ESC. For this reason you have to reduce timing on any GM or Orion motor what can be easily done. I think any information on this should be in the Orion manual.
Also you should use a fan on the ESC like itīs done with the latest Sphere TC Spec this should help also.
