I bought the MX3S version about 3 weeks ago, I have no complaints.
I really don't have anything to compare it to except the 15yr old Futaba pistol grip I was using prior to buying the Airtronics. It has more features than I will need, 18 model memory ??? ... mebbe if I won a lottery...
Still figuring out all the adjustments, but its a nice radio. I wanted a synthesized radio for the convenience. Some have reported problems with the synth receiver but I sure haven't.

should i get the 24 or 72mhz? and should i get the one that comes with the servo? is it any better than the stock rtr tc3 servo?

I got FM 75mhz because there are more frequency options which is a plus especially with the synthesized

what causes those radio hits? and how can they be avoided?

Dont know your budget, nor the price difference, but have you considered the synthezised version?
If you not already have done it, remember to do the grip test !
I dont have an MX-3 myself, but Airtronics is good, and it has good features. I really like that big display, which gives a good overview ( KO could learn something here )
If it should be better than the MX-3, then it's 3PK or Helios. The faster response might be worth something, but other than that, I believe that these radios are overkill.
In short: To me, the MX-3 looks like a good radio, with high value for money.
