With that avatar, I hope no one volunteers for that job.

I like how the IIC track is similar (yet evolved) over the years.
It's kind of like the Masters Golf Tournament.

I'm signed up for Amateur and Mod TC.
Pray for me.
A drug recommendation might be in order for this old man too.

Dont worry Steve, i'll be in the H main or whatever the slowest Mod TC main there is with you, assuming the car doesn't break something irreplaceable...

Getting ready for this has been an eye-opener so far though. It forces you to tackle problems you otherwise would have probably just ignored and lived with.

“I'm the least Confident Cocky person I know”.
but plan on having some "names" behind me at IIC this year. Been hitting MOD TC hard this last year and can’t imagine being too far off the pace.
I could be wrong.

The toll MOD takes on the Car and the added attention to detail has been eye opening. I’ve never had more fun at this sport than when I decided to strap a MOD in the TC. Been at this sport about 11 years, the last 5 ½ mostly on the carpet.

If it were up to me… there would only be two classes racing carpet (12th and TC). Competing in 17.5, 13.5, Blinky, Boosted… doesn’t make sense to me if the winners are the guys that are running, or should be running in MOD to begin with. It’s the most fun when you’re racing with guys that are the same ability.
Unfortunately, there are not many here locally that have the same SKILLZ as me.

C'mon Steve this is serious racing with a ton on the line (like bowling trophies and dangling carrots for most of us). Getting people of the right skill level in the right classes has always been an issue in racing in general. When you see guys like Haynes in stock at snowbirds, that makes me sad...dude has won every race out there and is one of the best racers in the country. Oh well I expect to see the same thing this year, which sucks for everyone else. But I am convinced that people and some of the teams care less about the right competition in the right classes and more about wins. Integrity...who has it?

I will be running all 3 sedan classes that i am eligible for per the rules. I'm sorry if your not thrilled with my running 17.5, however since i club race that class every week and rarely get to run the faster ones it would seem logical to compete. I enjoy running sedan more then anything else, so why not have 3x the fun while spending all week there?

If it is of any interest to you, i ran 5 classes at birds last year (17.5 sedan and 12th, 13.5 sedan and 12th, and mod sedan), no team i recieve help from requested or signed me up for any of them...so the choice was mine.
