It's funny how people requesting classes at these national events always ask for VTA and then no one signs up. Snowbirds last year, it's biggest for on-road attendance in probably 5 years, only had 13 VTA entries.

I'm not a hater of VTA, I raced it for years before it declined to almost nothing in my area, but the majority of the racers that attend these large events do not race this class. So i don't see why a race promoter would run this class.

You cant run Amateur at IIC Myron. Your sponsored by AE now. No sponsors at all in Amateur class at IIC.

And, conversely, the majority of racers that race VTA do not attend these large events.

34 entries in Am TC last year ... It's a great class for alot of people getting to go to their first big race. Unless another currently un-run class can field more entries .. the conversation is moot.

+2 and if we could get back to the time table, i know last year we started on it and by the end i think we were hours behind most days.

this year i'm flying out wednesday morning, i'll practice however much i get and just take it easy, i don't think sitting in the chair for 12+hrs each day looking at my car makes it any faster, which is the majority of what i did last year.

What was nice last year though was that everyone was patient and ready to go when called. That helped move things along too.

Champions don't need sleep. Just more Red Bull.
I'm part of the problem though, I entered three classes. If I practice/tune as much as I really want to, I'll probably have turned more laps than the pros by the end of the week.

I'm always surprised by how few laps the pros take at these events. It's like they know something.

Yeah, their cars are already set up for high-traction, and they know how to wheel them.

Syndrome, your avatar is horrifying.

IMO, the fornicating unicorns are a huge improvement over the vomiting clown that you previously had up as your avatar.
