Default Whats the problem with RC America?????

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows what is going on with them. It was suppose to be a good deal with them picking up xray. We were suppose to be able to get parts. Well that isn't the case every time my lhs tries to order from them they give some kind of excuse why the can't send parts. Just my observation?

With the success that Xray has had around the world over the past year, and Xray's relocation to their new facility they seem to be experiencing growing pains.

Parts and kits are in short supply worldwide.

The problem isn't with RCAmerica, it's inadequate production capacity at Xray. This is one of the reasons Xray is buildig their massive new 'Millenium Factory' facility

It seems that they have been saying that for about 2 months now. I mean I'm not trying to bash anyone. I really like the car and would love to get one. But I'm getting kind of frustrated with not even being able to get a car.

Be patient guys... Windsorguy is right. By the time the new kit and conversion kit comes out. They should be up and running at full speed. And in the near future, you can break as many parts as you'd like... or you can at least try to break them.

Where can you buy an RDX? As far as I know the carpet car is not in the country (USA). I have emailded Corally USA over a week ago and of yet no reply. Xray may not be the best, but the RDX is not yet the answer. Try Tamiya if you want headaches! I have not been able to buy suspension arms for over a month, no answer to Emails, the car is parked!

Corally parts have been hit and miss in this area for a lloonngg time...they may be improving parts availability now...but that's what people have seen in the past...

With all my cars I stock up on spares when I buy them so that I can afford a wait if I need to order...

Same here! I tell all my friends to stock up on parts. Otherwise they end up asking me for them.

I dont know, but my lhs has a wall filled with xray parts. I think what happened to most shops in the USA and CND was that when they where informed that horrizon would no longer carry xray and that RC AMERICA and CANADA RC would be the sole distributors they fell off the bandwagon. Most did not bother to get orders in through the new channels. And so fell to the end of the order list. This along with big demand and then a mishap in CUSTOMS in the USA on the initial order back in October made for some long delays for some shops.

XRAY is not going to let people down im sure, with raving reviews and wins worldwide the last thing they want to do is not sell product..

Corrally and serpent used to be just terrible to get a hold of i dont know what its like now.

Local guys runnign tamiya stuggle to find parts and struggle to build custom diffs from yokomo parts since tamiya doesnt make a front diff. A few months from now there will likely be another tamiya out so parts will be an issue again. LOL

Serpent no longer carries xray. Now RC America is the current distributor for them. All I know is there have been alot of people give up on the car and buy something else because they can get either the car or parts.

I've never understood the desire to run a car with no parts support. I ran an X-Ray for quite a while, and LOVED it. I let it go before parts availability issues reared their ugly heads, now I run an HPI. Parts all day long, at ANY DECENT hobbystore. Corally parts are easy to get if you choose to order them, Same way it used to be with the X-ray. I no longer settle for ordering parts, I will run stuff that's stocked only. Of course the HPI doesn't break, so it's not an issue.
