with the PF Mustang, for the TC7 series ...I added about 5mm shims under the front body post, along with longer screws. I didnt think the McA Stang needed shims
I run the PF Mustang and have been using AE Pan Car posts. AE#8522. I have to trim the bottom of posts into a small hexagon shape as the TC6.2 that I run has hex shaped slots in the bottom plate.
AE #31625 also works for me. I realize I am running 6.2's, but I hope this gives you some ideas.
PM me if you have questions. GOOD LUCK!

The pan car posts stick up quite a bit. The only drawback is making the hex. Keep in mind it does not have to be perfect. It seems to me that HPI made a set of posts and wings back in the day, but I don,t know if they are still available.
Hey JC3. Google HPI body posts. There are about 6 or 7 that come up. I think I have used HPI85032 in the past, but check out the others on A-Main and Tower Hobbies.

I’m curious as to the need to cut the hex into the bottom? I never worried about it and never had body post spin on me once tightened. In fact not having them allowed me to put the body pins at an angle that was better than what the hex would allow

Trimming the bottom of post works best for me. I guess it's one of those to each his own things.

Getting away a bit from the great body debate...how is everyone mounting their drivers in their cars? I bought the HPI Trophy Truck driver and passenger, but struggling a bit on how exactly to mount it so that it looks right and doesn't add too much additional weight.
Thanks in advance!

Can anyone provide a link to the approval for this motor? I've heard people SAY it's been approved, but I'm having trouble finding the approval.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The inspection is just one of several items that is used by ROAR to determine if approval is given; the motor is not approved until ROAR adds it to their list.
