Speaking of which...
October has come and gone. I thought you were gonna get things going at Hobby Town last month. I sent you a PM but maybe you missed it...
And didn't you guys just run 17.5 motors when you first started? And i think i remember seeing a pan car mixed in with those TCs.
Speaking of "REAL."
I've seen two, "REAL" onroad programs, come and go since i moved here. Since "FAKE" is the opposite of "REAL," I've been able to participate in a "FAKE" program off and on for the past 4 or 5 years.
REAL or FAKE, can't somone get their $#!+ together long enough to allow people to enjoy a hobby?

Sorry Dutch. Bad examples of grown men acting like children. As for me, my part in this conversation is over.
Our club will continue on our merry way and like somebody once said.."you can please some of the people some of the time but never all the people all the time".
Nuff said !!

Wow, Now I finally understand what all that "Real racing" nonsense was about. I don't suppose the words, elitist, egomaniacal or pompous mean anything to you. You might as well just have shot down a large number of clubs around the country. If every local club had to live up to a regionals or nationals standard they wouldn't last long. Which apparently is good by some folks since they're not doing much racing buy they are doing a lot of driving.
You know, it would be a whole lot more productive if all that attitude were put to GOOD use instead of trying to bash grass roots efforts.

And
I wasn't bashing any one I was talking about a dam battery pack

But I will warn you now I don't play fair and I'm in your zip code pool guy
To be quiet honest I'm tired of your crap on hear your a poser
You talk all this crap and you don't do any of it your a clown
When was the last time you paid to race any place when was the last race
You attend any where any just name one please and don't tell me yours lmao
Im done being the troll sorry you guys had to see this

Marcos, I'm sure having a moderator jump in is appreciated but neither I nor Pejota are attacking any previous racing in this area. What we're defending is the constant comments that belittle the efforts of other peoples hard work. Club members GIVE their time to help this club out. It's never great to hear someone dismiss what they do by commenting that it's not "real racing".
Hope that helps and apologize for taking up good space on this thread.

+ 1 that's great I'm very happy to see this as well
Makes it easy for REAL race programs/clubs or tracks to
Tech the class
You know back when we ran the FIRST VTA race in the state of FLORIDA
For the state series. http://www.usvintagetransam.com/gallery/index.html
the rules were a bit loose and we tried to tech it as much
As possible
So much easier now
I remember all the cars going through tech to get their FDR checked
Man did that take forever
Now at big races we just look in see a 5000 pack approved speedo 1550 on the scale and maybe a voltage check and off you go

Hi guys we run a version of VTA up here but with 21.5's
We run FDR 4.2 but no one checks the gearing during tech..........
I've been reading and seeing how DARKSIDE said he put a tc6 gear diff in a TC5, naturally I had to put one in today. I have a spool in the front of my TC5.
My car was great last weekend at round 1 WCICS, but I hate ball diffs. They always sound crunchy when I'm done rebuilding them.
What oil did you put in the gear diff?
I put 40wt AE in it and will test it out on Tuesday.
Also when do you know when to go up or down on the oil in there?
Thanks,

This set up and the triangle shapes that wacko was talking bout earlier will

The 40wt oil is going to feel like a really loose ball diff. Most are running between 1000cst to 2000cst in a gear diff. The way I was explained was if you have a high traction track you can run a lighter oil and if you have a lower traction track you can run a thicker oil. AE 70wt shock oil is 900cst and their 80wt is 1000cst. I would adjust according to the available traction you have. I run 2000cst in my cars at my home track which is low to med grip.
