This can't be real, right?
I purchased mine direct here: http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-40c-50...-hardcase.html
They came with the removable pigtails when I bought them. I believe you can get them with soldered in tails too if you prefer. I have had some grit get into the holes where the banana plugs connect. Soldered versions would prevent that.
I also bought their chargers which I've been pleased with too: http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html
99.9% of the time, I'm a LHS guy through and through, but when I bought these GENS Ace batteries the reviews were outstanding and the cost was less than half of what I was seeing in the hobby store for a similar battery. Since I'm paying for two of us to race in my house, it was really the only way I could afford to dump all my NiMH stuff ($$$) and start over with lipos. That was my justification anyway at the time. You can tell, I still feel guilty about buying online instead of locally.

Those are the right prices. All I can figure is they are a direct source. Here's the review I read on Big Squid. Convinced me: http://www.rc-battery.com/app/menu.p...show_new&id=44

It depends on the size of the track you are running on. But to start that gearing is perfect. I would try and get away from the 48 pitch and get 64 pitch.

track size is 72 feet x 32 feet, can you give me perfect gear set up for 64 pitch that will work best on the size of the track? thanks a lot for the help..

thanks for the input, i will start looking for 64 pitch, problem is associated dont have 64 pitch, are all 64 pitch gears will fit in directly in my tc6??thanks again for the help...

A 25c pack will perform just as well as a 40c battery. C rating doesnt determine
how many amps a pack will push out to the esc. I always thought the Millamps
Hours is the most important thing of a battery. I just went Lipo and I know
my stuff is gonna be much faster than Nimh packs I was using.
I also went hard-case because of all the Lipo accidents I see with soft-case packs. Duratrax packs are fairly cheap to afford.
I bought 4 4000 25c packs with deans ends on them for under $160.
The top of the line packs by tracpower are $100-120 each.
Four tracpowers would have costed over $400. That's insane for 4 batteries.

The C rating has everything to do with the available " amp current" that a pack will push out. I think its something like 5 amps per c rating( ex; 20c=100a of current, 40c=200a of current). The milli amp hour figure determines the amount of stored energy, which is "runtime"

But everything else is correct. But the speedo can only pull so much, so in theory nothing over about a 30C battery will make a difference (that would mean the speedo is trying to pull 150 amps)

Look for kimborough spurs. Get a 100t spur and a 50t pinion. That will put you right at a 4.0 fdr. The tc6 has an internal gear ratio of 2.0. You can add or subtract teeth on your pinion to gear higher or lower depending on your track. 4.0 is a good place to start though.

personally, I use a 96 tooth spur when possible. Seem to have a bit for ability to change the pinion higher and lower without loosing the ability to move the motor. With 100 tooth spur, there have been a few times where I couldn't move the motor pinion combo far enough to make it work. 100 will work, just a bit more flexibility with 96 tooth if you haven't purchased yet.

I run a 4.04 fdr at my track. Mikes hobby shop in Dallas. This is where the roar carpet nats were held. A 96/48 will give you a 4.0 fdr. If you go 96/50 you will have a 3.84. Sounds like your track is pretty tight. I would stay around a 4.0 to 4.1. Going to low you will never get to top speed on a short straight. Running a 4.04 I am getting to top speed before the end of our 90' straight. You can get those spurs at most hobby shops and online like amain or tower.
