Novak ESC & Novak fan - - -
How do I tighten the female connectors in the fan plug?
The connection is too loose...
I've tried two different fans / same problem...
Do I spread / pinch the male pins (and hope I don't break anything)?
OR
Just get / make a Y harness & plug into receiver - the connector is tight when plugged into receiver port.
I still have 1 more fan to install (motor) and I'll need an open spot for a transponder - how may things can I jump off of the receiver?
ALSO - the ESC to receiver connection isn't real tight... Is this a concern?
Is this an option - http://www.shopatron.com/products/pr...ber=5721/135.0

thought i would share this..sorry for the quality...parts tree "z" from tamiya hornet/frog. Has convienent mounting hole on top of the helmet, so a simple screw throught the roof works.

I have some of the mini jst pins now and some housings on the way from the UK. Marv, if you want a couple of the pins I can throw them in an envelope and send em out. This way you can replace the worn out pins. Just PM me an address.

I would connect it to the chassis. Their where a few guys traction rolling at nationals (Mario helped me with this before nats) so i told them to remount their driver to the chassis and fixed the problem . These cars weigh to much as is ,so why put even more weight up high.

The newer Novaks use a smaller pin/spacing on the fan plug than the old traditional JST style ones. They call it a "mini JST." I've had some success with spreading the pins and putting a drop of Shoe Goo on the base of the plastic to insure it doesn't come loose, but that is not an ideal solution and I've always worried about breaking off the pin. Some of the aftermarket fans I've bought came with a smaller micro plug that I used to make an adapter and that works better. This could also be adapted...
