I guess the disclaimer "Prices Subject To Change Without Notice" is true! That sucks.

Their website is a little crazy. You might have to drill through some of the product options until it comes up correctly. It won't give you an accurate shipping price either until you submit an address. I don't think the actual price has ever been as high as that.

You need to click on US warehouse at the top of the screen. $85 is the international price. $46 is from the US

Speaking of good deals, I've got some VTA legal packs for sale here...
http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...lipo-sale.html.
Sorry to spam but I thought it could be useful for VTA bargain hunters.

I've got another one to get into VTA! See his post below...
That's great news Sean. Maybe your VTA can be ready to race before the 4th Round of the Summer Carpet Shootout Series race coming up on July 29.

Ok, i have my kit on the way.
I chose the camaro body, and got black wheels. Its gonna take me a couple of weeks to get it built and set up. Looking forward to getting some tips and some laps in with you guys, I am going to sign up for Round 3 in Austin later this week.
You guys looked like you were having so much fun racing VTA in Houston, how could i not get into VTA!

Good job Keep gitting new racers involved and some will stay involved
As long as the tracks have racers support them they will stay open for
Us to have a race at .support your local tracks and hobbie shops guys
If not you will find your self with dusty shelf queens or worse putting them
In a box and off to the storage unit
That is all I have to say about that !!!!

This question is for the guys that like to tinker with timing. Do you have some sort of rule you follow when making timing adjustments as it relates to gearing? For example, if you raise your timing by 5 degrees then drop 1 tooth on the pinion. Or is the timing thing all just experimentation? I don't like to play with timing. Its one too many motor variables for me. I just lock it in at 45 degrees and then work the gearing and temps from there. But I wonder if I'm missing out here and would like to know how / when / why others are making adjustments.

To carpet
I normly run it about 40 to 45
But when I run on the carpet I have to drop it to about 35 Or it will thermal shut down and that sucks
But I do not change gear all that much
Hope this helps a lil
