Good Job !!
I started out in VTA with a TC5 bought off rctech. I took it to my track and it sucked. One of the veteran fast guys came up to me and said lets take a look at your setup and got it all setup for me. Once I was able to drive I was almost as fast as the rest of the guys running Xray's. I enjoyed onroad so much I bought a used T3'11 to run in 17.5 TC. My only problem with my TC5 was the parts support at my LHS was very slim. So if I broke I was out of the race for the day. About a month ago I sold my TC5 and bought a new X-ray T3'12 for my 17.5 TC and turned my T3'11 into my VTA. This was solely on the basis for the parts support and setup help from other guys since we all are running Xray. Had my LHS had parts for my TC5 I would still be running it. Some tracks just don't support the lower end chassi so it makes it hard to use something like a TC4 because when you break your out for several days or longer waiting on parts to come in the mail.

First let me be clear here, The Mi1 is a great starter car for VTA. As I have stated I have won a few and lost a few (parts issues).

first My wife and 7 year old daughter saved the money for this 6.1 that I could never buy on a whim. Second I had a choice to make. Given the 6.1 and the Mi4x were about the same price she let me pick.

The Mi cars are bullet proof to say the least. However parts ARE an issue here in the states and I am not paying 15 bucks extra to have a part in a day when I can drive 2 miles to buy it at m LHS.

I got a GREAT deal on my Mi1 220 with new motor and ESC The car new is 150 and the ballistic with edge2 was 160. The Class is cheep to get started but as a racer we all want the newest toys. I started with nothing. I now have 4 cars 2 Mi1's 6.1 and a xxxs. Needless to say if i brake a care I have 3 i can fall on just in case.

total cost of about a grand in cars and stuff.
When asked what is the best way to get into our class, hobby or sport the best answer I give is

Google USVTA look at the rules. Go to RC tech. find your self any 4wd chassis they are rather cheep. Also look for radios and transmitters and if you can find it a transponder for lap counting. In the end total cost if you are lucky is 4-6 hundred start off.

It goes inside the motor. Just stuff it between the rotor and stator.

Thumbs up

Great thanks I was worried that if I put it on the battries that they
Would go over 5000 mah and 95c
And if i put it on my chassie then I would have some kind of
New chassie and old lint reaction and then I would have to
Run a pan car class and hit 88 mph to bring me back to VTA

I don't think Chuck is gonna be able to help you much since his hide is currently being used as tire inserts
