John Wallace - our OUTLAW VTA allowed open 21.5 "Roar Legal" motors, and Any "Roar Legal" 2c battery.
For my car, I'm using "OLD STOCK" that I already had - 21.5 SS Novak Motor w/ Thunder Power 3300 35c packs. w/ the McAllister Firebird body. (some of the tracks use ALL the USVTA rules except motor/battery for outlaw - at CAL they don't push the driver, nor 'realistic' paint schemes (most cars are just painted, and don't even have numbers)
We do have one track (Camarillo/Freedom Park) that actually runs BOTH USVTA and OUTLAW VTA - I love this because I have both -- and I can get a LOT of track time (which my road racing really needs)
We also run a GT Class - but instead of USGT 2/ 21.5, we run GT10 w/ 17.5 -- the faster motors are used in part because the tracks we run can handle the speeds (although my personal BEST always comes from the Slower cars)
At CAL RACEWAY - we are running a GT10 Series - which includes a SPEC Class (last season it was Tekin Gen2 and a Tekin Motor - tuned for equality by the race director and sealed - this season has a NEW sponsor, and allows a NEW Motor ESC combo from G Force that uses a sealed/locked endbell motor, and the Tekins are still allowed but are tuned to the output of the G Force systems.
The GT10 "OPEN" - is any "ROAR LEGAL" 2c and 17.5 Motor in No-Timing "Blinky" mode w/ the spec USGT tires and GT bodies.
(I'd like them to add USGT - as the speeds of our OUTLAW VTA cars is awesome, and the handling w/ the Gravity spec tires is pretty good. But again - the faster motor won out.)
