I checked out the link. looks like a nice place. You should see if someone can record some vta action and put it on you tube.

I wonder how much difference there is between the original SS motors when tested on a checker. Even though I can't think of anyone who is still using one in their primary race car. A few guys have built loaner cars with SS motors.

Never had a 25.5 SS motor, but the 21.5 motors from my VTA car before they went to the 25.5 motor (so you know they are old like me) still show surprisingly good numbers on my fantom dyno in terms of spin up, torque, and rpm. They just aren't as efficient as my newer 21.5 motors. I've been trying to reach my neighbor's son because he bought a used VTA car with a 25.5 SS motor and I would like to dyno it, because I too would like to see how different it is compared to the BOSS.

Ok so I have another rotor question. Today at the track several of us jotic d that the tip of the rotor shaft on our straight from Novak Ballistic motors are pinkish orange color. Well I cooked mine due to my own idiotic gear in circulation and had to borrow a 25.5 from a fellow racer. Well this racer sometimes has some surprise fast lap times, his rotor was painted white on the end, and the motor showed son power on the top end mine lacks. Does this different color paint indicate a different size rotor?

If I remember correctly, the rotor part number is stamped on the shaft of the rotor. You could compare part numbers. Only the stock rotor is allowed (again, if I remember correctly).

The Stock rotor in my 25.5 Ballistic is orange. The 12.5 rotor I have is yellow.

Based on the last 2 years of USVTA Southern Nats, I bet it will happen from September 16 - 20, 2015.

I read the same thing but would love to know the exact dates because flights are much cheaper this far out and only get more expensive as time creeps along.

New to the TC4 and trying to cut down some weight with out spending TOO much. I'm at 1530g RTR and my track runs ROAR rules so need to lose some weight. Was thinking of a Shorty pack but that will really mess up my balance. Is there a kit that has ALL the screws in aluminum and how much weight would that save me.
Also open to other ideas.
THANKS !
