I am working on my shell for the Music City Southern Nationals. A 70 Mustang with a graphic stripe and full lights. Just looking for the switch for the brakelights.

However on another track I run (med grip, less than perfect parking lot) the tires seem to work better when they have a decent amount of tread left. Wondering if others find that to be the case also.

Been trying tire tweek, then a thin layer of SXT 3.0 for traction. I've run just tweek, but it seems like a thin layer of 3.0 before the run has more hook than without in the first 2-3 laps..... then it runs the same as the race goes carries on.
I usually save worn tires from carpet and use them on asphalt. They are softer from traction compound and being run in general.

Buggy grip is your friend, it will help break in the tires fast. It also is a good traction compound for the tires. Gravity RC's LG 2 is also very good on the tires.

+1 on the Buggy Grip tip. Works well, and on decent asphalt you only need one application per race day. And never, EVER run brand new, straight from the package tires in a race. Break them in for 3-5 minutes on the car, sauce 'em once on race day, and they are prepped for racing.

Plus it is a one-piece mold which means that you don't have to attach on a front or rear bumper which usually comes as a separate piece. The '68 Camaro is all one piece except for the trunk spoiler.
Ill be running the J71 from Protoform/Proline for the next 6 months at least...lol
Hey Darkside, since you will be using the J71 body next, did you cast a vote for the Protoform J71 body in this VTA body online poll?

The car is nice, and clean and very well done. The fact that your daughter wants to race VTA with her dad, THATS SPECTACULAR !

My 13 year old daughter started running Mini class recently and now wants a VTA car too lol. She bugs me almost every night wanting to go practice. She's also racing Spec class Stadium Truck off-road. Our "stable" has grown to 4 complete set ups and I can see two more in our new future. That's close to $600 in transponders

I think its great you all have your kids racing with you!

I see that the chassis you have set up is a rear wheel drive chassis.
Your club runs a 2 wheel drive/rear wheel drive VTA class?
