For the most part, tracks are running VTA using 25.5 motors. However, I'd make it a point to learn your track's VTA rules prior to competing, since the rule set tends to differ somewhat from track to track.

My car is 100% USVTA rule legal, but one local track adopted Roar VTA / 25.5. Only differences isblinky esc and any 25.5 brand motor. Oeoeo327 is right tho, check with your local and make sure what they use before buying a lot of equipment

Running just VTA or USVTA?

If ROAR style VTA, you may want those blinky enabled ESCs as I have heard from a few that they see a slight edge with them.

Personally, I run ROAR style VTA here and I am liking the Speed Passion Reventon Stock CLub ESC. nice and cheap. Also like that i can hook it up to a programmer box to change settings versus looking for a variety of lights, chimes, etc.

But bear in mind, I am lap traffic

I have used NOVAK, SPEED PASSION & JUSTOCK.

Hands down the JUSTOCK is the best, small clean design and very easy to program and update with the available program cards

Cant wait to try the TEKIN SPEC

welcome!

its definitely a fun class. I always was a fan of touring back when it first started with an old TC3 and this class has the speed and close driving I like.

USGT is fun too, a bit more speed, but still controllable.

If starting out and you plan to attend tracks that do USVTA and VTA, you may want to just go ahead and build it USVTA spec right away. invest in weights to add to the vehicle to get it up there.

Even out here with plain ROAR style VTA, using big 7200mah 2S packs I still had to add weight to the car. Not much, but still was a bit surprised. Seeing what guys do for straight USVTA weight adding its pretty impressive to see where they add everything

Well, there is...which I'm sure is why they don't call it USVTA (That plus since they are in CANADA and not the US) they call it CVTA

Them boy's from the NORTH just like a little more speed from their Hot Rods!!

ROCK ON!
