I run the hobbywing juststock in my VTA car. I can tell you it is no faster than any other speed control. I run Hobbywing in most of my other cars as well. I have had too many problems with novak esc's. If someone is faster it is more than likely their setup. The rules keep things pretty even.

Default Hobbywing

I also run a hobbywing justock in one of my cars and a edge 2 in the other. The performance is the same. I like the hand held card for setting things like drag brake..etc better than counting lights, just a nice tool for an old guy.

Whether you have a Hobbywing Justock or a Novak Edge or any other USVTA ESC, come and find out what the fastest VTA drivers use in their cars at the UTAC (Ultimate Trans-Am Championship).

I found it had a better feel then my edge which made it seem faster. But I like my gtb2 xdrive better then the justock.

I have 2 of the black juststock's in my 1/12th and 17.5 Blinky TC and Love them and for my VTA I have an old version Mongoose and it is soo Sweet. More brakes than any other ESC I have ever used. smooth enough for the power i'm putting down and does not get hot. And wins races. so perfect all around. been using it for 3 years now with no issues. now my old GTB's whew gone thru many before switching to Hobbywing.

The U.S. Distributor for Hobbywing, Falcon Sekido, has the Justock ESC in stock for $49.75.

I have one on mine and works fantastic. Just have to remember that when you get one you need to update it to the current 508 software because the program in this one has almost no brake in them. They may have fixed this in the current batches but I know the earlier versions needed the update.

Sorry for not knowing the answer to this already, but I'm getting back into RC after a 10 year absence. I have been looking for the Pegasus Hobbies 70SS body (PGH 4001) and can't seem to find them. Are they out of business?

Pegasus Hobbies is still in business. They only make one batch of bodies each year. I don't know exactly how many of each they make, but their Camaro 70SS body is always the first one to sell out. If you send and email to A-Main Hobbies they are very good at letting you know when to expect the PGH4001 body to be in stock again.

Here's a pic of one that my buddy painted last year ...

I had one and they are horrible for a body. They are so big. I would strongly advise against using them. There is a ton of body overhang the at times it acts as a parachute and I noticed a ton of body roll.

Here is one I did. Jerz is right, they are huge, and very thin, especially around the body lines. Also the space between the f&r fenderwell moldings are about 1/4" different from side to side. Tower usually has them, my LHS has a few in stock, so if you can't find one let me know.
