I appreciate this! Now my questions is this, where in the world does one find a 60T 48P spur gear?! The best I could find was a 66T 48P gear. I looked through tower hobbies and could find no such thing. Is there a better website to look through or a certain manufacturer that I should be looking at?

My local hobby shop had smaller gears, I have a 60t and a 55t, 48p spur gears.
Amainhobbies.com might carry them.

I just found that on amain myself. I guess a little more searching and I wouldn't have had to ask the question. Although, I wasn't sure if this one would fit. Obviously it does since you are using it.

Much appreciated! I'll try this and hopefully it will help to open up my gearing options.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I saw my first VTA race a few weeks ago and I'm hooked. I'm currently running a S411 TC car so I picked up another one for a VTA car. My question is; how much rear toe do you guys run? In TC class I'm running anywhere between 2.5 and 3.5 but with the wide rear tires I'd assume you would run less rear toe.

We have 2 guys currently running the S411 in VTA at our track with another starting this friday. we both run 3.0 rear. 19lbs front, 16lb rear springs. I run the spool in the front, my buddy runs the gear diff in the front with ONE MILLION diff fluid. I run low roll centers, him high. Both cars drive great.

(3) Yes, Must have Numbers on both doors, Hood, and Trunk Lid
(4) For a full list of the current VTA Rules, please visit --> USVTA Rules
(5) Race structure:

10 Car Qualifiers (3 rounds, 6 minutes each, Resort after each)
12 Car A-Main (8 minute Mains)
12 Car Lower Mains (bottom 2 Lower Mains split depending on count)

MOST IMPORTANTLY: If it's not in the rules, and does not encompass the spirit of slower, controlled racing with realistic looking cars, consider it illegal.

This is called the "Spirit of VTA" Rule.

The class is based on slower, equal playing field competition with less traction, minimal aerodynamic aids and mostly older carpet racing technology. The final objective is close, fair, wheel-to-wheel racing for all.

All decisions of the race promoter or track owner are final.

Special Considerations:

Concourse Contest – Winners to be announced after Mains during Awards Ceremony
• Must Run Concourse Shell in Main to be eligable for Concourse Award

Somebody please tell me what the last post by GP40X says. I can only read the first two words of each line of it on my Android screen. What size font is that anyway? 1,000,000?
